My heart is aching today.  Last night I received news that a 22-year old young lady died.  I did not know the young lady, but I had been praying for the healing of her body and her soul.  She had been battling a disease since last fall.  At the age of 12 this young lady had lost her mother to the same disease.  Because of the loss of her mother, the young lady was angry with God.  Many of her friends tried to talk to her about the importance of having a relationship with Jesus, but she wanted no part of God and she did not want her friends to talk about it when they visited her.  As far as I know, she never trusted Jesus, and so yesterday, she entered eternity lost and alone and will forever be separated from God.

Many people in our world are offended by God.  They want no part of him.  When things go wrong they blame God and want nothing to do with him.  However, God does not cause bad things to happen.

Many people think it is unfair that “Jesus is the only way.”  But there are many things in this world that we do that require just one way to do it.  We can only get into a Maverick game one way – if we have a ticket.  We are not offended by that we just accept it.  When we want to cook hamburgers, we must go to a grocery store to buy the meat.  We are not offended that Macy’s department store does not have hamburger meat.  If we want to put on a pair of pants we have to put our legs in first.  That doesn’t seem to offend anyone.

Perhaps you and your spouse are having difficulties in your marriage.  Could it be because one or both of you do not know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior?  It is difficult to show unconditional love to your spouse if you have not experienced the unconditional love that God gives.

God doesn’t promise us that everything in life will go the way we want it to go.  But he does promise us that he cares for us (1 Peter 5:7).  He promises that he will never leave us (Hebrews 13:5).

If you or your spouse does not have a personal relationship with Jesus, then today is the day for you or your spouse to make that right.  We are not promised another day or even another minute.  You can begin a relationship with Christ today.  Read the verses below, and then pray and ask God to be the Lord of your life.   If you already have a personal relationship with Jesus, share this article with someone that needs Jesus.

Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

Romans 6:23  “For the wages of sin is death.

Romans 5: 8 “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ dies for us.”

John 3:16  “For God so loved the world that He gave his only son that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but will have eternal life”

John 14:6  “Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through me.

Romans 10:9-10 “If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.”

Ephesians 2:8-9  “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.”
